Back in November, Gatecrasher Broad Street lost its licence due to several violent incidents, including one major knife incident where members of the security team were left injured. A decision was made by the award winning Deltic Group who invested £1.4 Million in order to renovate the venue.
PRYZM, a successful clubbing franchise with venues in Brighton, Leeds, Cardiff and Bristol, are bringing a £1.4 Million experience as well as 120 jobs when they reopen the venue. The Birmingham branch, which will be based on Broad Street, taking over Gatecrasher, will be the sixth PRYZM to open in the UK, with PRYZM Nottingham being the next one due to open in July. The 2,500 capacity venue will have a main area which will showcase the latest lighting and sound technology available, as well as other rooms offering the likes of R&B chart tracks and retro, disco tunes. There is also a private party room on offer to book, this is additional to 45 booths that cater for smaller parties with special packages and table service available. The superclub is set to open on Friday 17th June 2016.
A manager at PRYZM, Peter Cro said: “Birmingham is a fantastic city with a vibrant scene and our club will bring a new dimension, giving people in Birmingham and beyond a world class club experience.”
“We have great plans for the launch weekend, which we’re keeping under wraps at present but it promises to be a crowd pleaser.”
The club are currently recruiting for 120 positions that are full time and part-time for bar staff, hospitality and sales assistants.
